Little known to even the most avid of Richard Simmons advocates, it was actually Richard who jump started the Kung Fu movement in North America. This photo is taken from an exclusive access promotional photo shoot which took place in Milan cira 1971 at the height of Richard’s Kung Fu training. It didn’t take long before Richard shifted gears to focus on the world of fitness, knowing full well in his oh so clairvoyant mind that the Kung Fu fad didn’t have much of a future. I found this photo in one of my white label speed garage records, and the shock of energy that filled my veins as I held it in my hands was amazing. Amazing enough, to inspire this. Enjoy
